Best Male Masturbators: Manual vs Automatic, Priced and Weighed

Straight up: Everything here is true to the best of my knowledge on the day I checked it. Prices, specs and stock change, so I can't guarantee every last detail. The store's listing at checkout is what counts. Fine print.

On this page
  1. What a male masturbator is, and who should buy which kind
  2. What to check on the listing before you spend a cent
  3. The best male masturbator picks, manual to automatic
  4. The 2 lb line: weight, size and where it lives
  5. Cleaning effort, and charging like an electrician
  6. What owners complain about with strokers
  7. Consider this first

The male masturbator to buy first is a $26 reusable sleeve you work by hand. If you like it, the next step is a $110 manual one that’s easier to clean. The motorized ones run $99 to $299 and up, and they only make sense once you know what you like, or you want hands-free.

I went through the spec sheets on six of them, from a $26 sleeve to a machine with an app. Prices, weights and shipping below come from the makers’ own pages, checked in October 2026.

Heads up, I make a few bucks if you buy through my links. Doesn’t change what I tell you, and I’ll tell you to skip stuff all day.

What a male masturbator is, and who should buy which kind

A male masturbator is a sleeve you put your cock into, either worked by hand or driven by a motor. “Stroker” means the same thing. A pocket pussy is a stroker shaped like a vagina, and my pocket pussy breakdown covers those realistic, body-shaped ones. This page is about the device itself, powered ones included.

There are two families:

  • Manual. A sleeve, sometimes in a case. You move it. Cheap and silent, with nothing to charge.
  • Powered. A motor does the work. Some vibrate and squeeze, some stroke, and some sync to video or an app. They cost more, weigh more and need charging.

Never owned one? Start manual. If you’ve owned a few and your wrist is the problem, that’s when the motor earns its price.

What to check on the listing before you spend a cent

Check whether it’s reusable, the weight, what’s in the box, and the price with shipping. A listing photo shows you the colour and the shape, and that’s about it.

On the listing What it costs you
Single-use vs reusable Single-use means paying $7 to $10 every time. Reusable is paid once, then you pay in washing and drying time.
Sleeve material Most sleeves are TPE, a soft rubbery plastic, or a similar elastomer. Swap or upgrade sleeves are often sold separately.
Weight The lightest powered pick here is 26.5 oz (750 g). The heaviest is about 4.2 lb (1.9 kg) with its sleeve. Heavy means a mount, or a tired arm.
Stroke length (automatic only) How far the motor moves the sleeve. A short stroke on a pricey machine is less motion for your money.
Battery 30 minutes to 13 hours on this list. A short one means stopping to charge, or paying up for the bigger model.
What’s in the box The sleeve in the photos can be an add-on. On the Solace, the Vagina Sleeve bundle is $10 more.
Shipping Free shipping starts at a set order total. Under it, a $26 toy can carry a $10 fee.

That last row catches guys. Two of the powered picks here don’t include shipping in the listed price, so the number on the page isn’t the number on your card.

The best male masturbator picks, manual to automatic

Start with the $25.99 Tenga Spinner. Move up to the $109.99 Flip Zero if you want easier cleaning. The four powered picks are for guys who already know they want a motor. The two Lovense ones come with a catch: Lovense doesn’t say where it ships from, so you won’t see the shipping or any duty until checkout.

Pick Type Weight Price (Oct 2026) US shipping (as of Oct 2026)
Tenga Spinner Manual, reusable 4.58 oz (130 g) $25.99 $10, free over $84.99 (contiguous US)
Tenga Flip Zero Manual, reusable 17.1 oz (485 g) $109.99 Free (over $84.99)
Lovense Max 2 Powered: vibrates and contracts 26.5 oz (750 g) $99 (listed down from $199) Extra, shown at checkout
Lovense Solace Powered: thrusting, desk mount included 34.6 oz (980 g) $184 (listed down from $369) Extra, shown at checkout
Kiiroo Keon Powered: interactive stroker 2.4 lb (1.1 kg), plus a sleeve of about 1.8 lb (800 g) $209 with stroker (regular $249) Free over $100
The Handy 2 Powered: automatic stroker 28.4 oz (805 g), device only From $299 Free over $144

There’s no Fleshlight in this list. Fleshlight’s product pages don’t print a product weight, and I don’t pick what I can’t spec. My Fleshlight review covers the brand on its own.

Tenga Spinner: best first stroker for under $30

Tenga Spinner 01 Tetra stroker beside its case, maker photo
Spec Listing
Size 5.12 x 1.77 x 1.77 in (130 x 45 x 45 mm)
Weight 4.58 oz (130 g), 7.2 oz (204 g) packaged
Material Elastomer sleeve, plastic casing
Use Reusable, with a built-in drying stand
Price $25.99 at the Tenga Spinner 01 Tetra listing

What’s good: $26 for something you keep. It’s small enough for a sock drawer, and it comes with its own stand to dry on. A sleeve that dries properly is a sleeve that lasts.

What’s crap: Tenga warns that turning it fully inside out damages the internal coil, so you clean it the way they say or you wreck it. And $25.99 on its own is under the free-shipping line. Add it to a bigger order.

Want to test for ten bucks first? Tenga’s single-use Original Vacuum Cup is $9.99, 4.3 oz (122 g), and you cap it and throw it out after. Fine for one try. Buy about three and you’ve paid for a Spinner.

Skip it if you hate cleaning anything with a narrow opening (the Flip Zero below hinges open), or you’re well above average. The listed insertion width is 1.96 in, and owners say Tenga runs snug for bigger guys. More on that in the owner section below.

Store facts: Tenga (US store) · Type: maker-direct · Storefront: online only · Based in: Japan (brand), US store · Ships from: Torrance, CA, Rancho Dominguez, CA, Fort Worth, TX and Dayton, NJ · Ships to: US and Canada only · Canada: US$20 shipping, free over US$89.99, duties and taxes paid at checkout in CAD (same policy page)

Tenga Flip Zero: best manual stroker for easy cleaning

Tenga Flip Zero Black reusable stroker, maker photo
Spec Listing
Size 7.09 x 3.15 x 2.76 in (180 x 80 x 70 mm)
Weight 17.1 oz (485 g), 26.6 oz (754 g) packaged
Material TPE inner sleeve, silicone pressure pads, polycarbonate case
Use Reusable
Price $109.99 at the Tenga Flip Zero listing

What’s good: The case hinges open. Tenga says “the flip-open design makes for an easy cleaning experience”, and one buyer on the listing, C W., wrote: “Very easy to open and clean and the stand helps it to dry.” At $109.99 it clears Tenga’s free shipping line of $84.99 for the contiguous US (as of October 2026), so the price is the price, before tax. Toss a Spinner in the same order and it ships free too.

What’s bad: $110 for something with no motor. You’re paying for the build and the easy cleaning. It’s also over a pound, nearly four times the Spinner.

Skip it if you’ve never tried a stroker. Get the Spinner first. My Tenga review covers the rest of the range.

Store facts: same as the Spinner above.

Lovense Max 2: best cheap electric masturbator

Spec Listing
Size Not listed on the product page
Weight 26.5 oz (750 g)
Material ABS plastic body, TPE sleeve
Battery 95-215 minutes, 100 minutes to charge
In the box The Max 2 with its Neutral Sleeve (the Vagina Sleeve is an add-on)
Price $99, listed as 50% off $199, at the Lovense Max 2 page

What’s good: The cheapest powered pick on this list. It vibrates and contracts around you, and the app runs patterns or hands control to someone else. A sleeve comes in the box, so $99 gets you a working toy.

What’s crap: Lovense doesn’t print the size on the page, which is a dumb thing to leave off a product you put your dick in. And the Lovense terms say prices don’t include shipping, duties or taxes unless the page says so. Budget a bit over $99.

Skip it if you want stroking motion. This one squeezes and vibrates. It doesn’t move up and down. Skip it too if you’re in Canada and need to know the landed cost first, because Lovense won’t tell you until checkout.

Store facts: Lovense · Type: maker-direct, run by HYTTO PTE. LTD., the company its terms name · Storefront: online only · Based in, ships from, and whether Canada is covered: none of it is on Lovense’s shipping, returns, about, contact or terms pages, so check before you pay · Ships to: the country list at checkout, per the Lovense shipping FAQ, in a plain brown outer box · Returns: unopened only, within 30 days, minus the original shipping fee, per its returns FAQ

Lovense Solace: best hands-free masturbator at $184 before shipping

Spec Listing
Size Not listed on the product page
Weight 34.6 oz (980 g)
Material ABS
Motion Thrusting, up to 280 strokes a minute, max depth 2.75 in (70 mm)
Battery “Up to 13 hours” in the spec table, “up to 12.5 hours” in the page copy
In the box Solace, Neutral Sleeve, desk mount, charge cable, manual
Price $184, listed as 50% off $369, at the Lovense Solace page

What’s good: Real stroking motion for $184 before shipping, and the desk mount is in the box. That’s what makes it actually hands-free. The Handy 2 sells its mount separately.

What I’d flag: A 2.75 in stroke is short. The battery claim is the maker’s best case, and Lovense doesn’t say at what setting. I’d want to see the test before I believe 13 hours from a thrusting motor. The Vagina Sleeve bundle is $194 on the same page. Shipping is extra, same as the Max 2.

Skip it if you want long strokes synced to video. The Handy 2 has nearly double the stroke.

Store facts: same as the Max 2 above.

Kiiroo Keon: best for interactive content on a mid budget

Kiiroo Keon automatic stroker, front view on white background, maker photo
Spec Listing
Size 8.7 x 5.1 x 5.7 in (220 x 130 x 146 mm)
Weight 2.4 lb (1.1 kg) device, plus a TPE sleeve of about 1.8 lb (800 g)
Material ABS, polycarbonate, silicone
Motion Up to 230 strokes a minute, up to 3 in (75 mm) stroke
Battery 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on intensity
Price $209 with the FeelStroker sleeve (regular $249) at the Kiiroo Keon page

What’s good: It’s built to sync with interactive content, and the $209 option includes Kiiroo’s FeelStroker sleeve, 7.9 x 3.3 in (200 x 84 mm). Shipping is free in the US over $100 (as of October 2026). Kiiroo’s shipping page also says orders shipped within the US or Canada aren’t subject to customs duties. That saves Canadian buyers a surprise bill at the door.

What’s bad: Weight. Device plus sleeve is about 4.2 lb (1.9 kg). At 4.2 lb, that’s a small appliance. The 30-minute low end on the battery is short too.

Skip it if your budget is fixed under $150. You’re paying for the sync, and a manual stroker does the basic job.

Store facts: Kiiroo · Type: maker-direct · Storefront: online only · Based in: not stated on the pages I checked · Ships from: not stated for US and Canada orders · Ships to: US and Canada among others, 1-3 business days after dispatch · Canada: no customs duties on orders shipped within Canada, per Kiiroo

The Handy 2: best automatic male masturbator, once you know

Spec Listing
Size 2.9 x 8.5 x 2.4 in (73.2 x 215 x 60 mm)
Weight 28.4 oz (805 g) net, Standard model (sleeve weight not listed)
Motion 4.9 in (125 mm) stroke, 32-400 mm a second
Battery About 1 hour on the Standard (2000 mAh)
In the box Device, TrueGrip Gen 3 sleeve, sleeve holder, band, USB-C cable
Price From $299 on The Handy’s homepage, at the Handy 2 US store page

What’s good: The longest stroke here, and the sleeve comes in the box. It works offline with physical buttons and syncs to video when you want it. Free US shipping, since $299 clears the $144 line (as of October 2026).

What’s crap: About an hour of battery on the Standard. The Handy 2 store page tells first-time buyers to get the Pro for the bigger battery. On a $299 machine, being told to spend more stings.

Skip it if this is your first stroker. That’s my plain “skip it” on this page. $299 is a lot to spend finding out you don’t like it.

Store facts: The Handy · Type: maker-direct · Storefront: online only · Based in: Norway (Handy says it’s engineered in Oslo) · Ships from: not stated · Ships to: worldwide, per the Handy FAQ · Canada: free shipping is US, EU, UK and Norway only, so Canadians pay a shipping fee, shown at checkout

The 2 lb line: weight, size and where it lives

Under 2 lb, you’ll hold it. Over 2 lb, plan on resting it on something or using a mount. That line is mine. No maker draws it.

  • Both Tenga manual picks are 1.1 lb or less.
  • The Max 2 (1.65 lb) sits under the line. The Handy 2 is 1.77 lb before the sleeve, and Handy doesn’t list the sleeve weight, so call it borderline.
  • The Solace is just over at 2.2 lb, and it comes with a desk mount.
  • The Keon with its sleeve is about 4.2 lb.

Four pounds doesn’t sound like much until you’ve held it out in front of you for ten minutes. I’d want the Keon sitting on the bed, not in my hand.

Storage is easy on all of these. The biggest device here, the Keon, is 8.7 in (220 mm) long, and the Spinner fits in a sock. If you want something with a body to it, that’s a different product, and my butt doll page covers those weights.

Cleaning effort, and charging like an electrician

The single-use cup takes zero cleaning. Every reusable needs a wash and a full air dry after every use. Tenga’s Spinner instructions spell it out: wash with cold or tepid water, pat dry, then air dry in a well-ventilated spot on the stand. A sleeve put away damp is a sleeve you’ll throw out. The full method for strokers is in my pocket pussy cleaning guide.

On the powered ones, water ratings differ. Lovense lists the Max 2 at IPX6 and the Solace at IPX4. The Solace page says its flip-open sleeve holder makes the sleeve easy to remove and wash. The Max 2 page doesn’t spell out sleeve cleaning, so read the manual before you get it wet.

Charging, from the electrician in me: use the cable that came in the box and a charger from a brand you trust. UL has warned about counterfeit UL marks on USB chargers, so a $3 no-name brick is no deal. Charge on a hard surface where you can see it, not under your pillow.

What owners complain about with strokers

Cleanup is the complaint that came up first in what I read. One owner admits a big toy that’s a hassle to wash and dry is one they reach for less. I read two r/tenga threads for this. Take it as owners’ word, nothing more.

Cleaning is the big one. u/TheHalInFax owns three Fleshlights and three caseless sleeves, and is trying to use their hand less. Still, they wrote: “I find the thought of having to clean a big toy leads to me using my hand when I know I should avoid it.” (thread) That’s why they were asking about single-use Eggs. u/Klutzy_Internet_4716 credits Tenga for taking on “the impossibility of properly washing and drying Fleshlights”. (comment)

Holding it gets old. One r/tenga owner reckons even a Fleshlight falls flat without a hands-free setup. (comment) That’s one owner’s view, but it’s the case for a mount.

Bigger guys run out of room. u/ColonelDickFury recommends Tenga “for people who are average or below, as the product will struggle to accommodate larger extremes of anatomy.” (comment)

How to dodge all that:

  • Buy for the cleanup first. The Flip Zero opens flat for washing. The Spinner has a stand, but Tenga buyers say its inside stays wet for a long time, so give it airflow.
  • If your wrist is the problem, a mount matters more than the motor. The Solace ships with one.
  • If you’re well above average, don’t start with a Tenga. Both manual picks here are Tenga, so there’s no manual pick for you on this list yet. Check the listed insertion width, and skip anything that doesn’t print one.

Consider this first

Skip a $299 machine as your first stroker. Get the $25.99 Spinner, then the $109.99 Flip Zero if you want easier cleaning. Order them together and the $135.98 total clears Tenga’s free-shipping line.

  • Skip single-use cups past your first try. Get the Spinner. It costs about what three cups do.
  • Skip the Max 2 if you want up-and-down motion. Get the Solace, $184 before shipping.
  • Skip the Keon if your hand is going to hold it. Get the Solace, which ships with a desk mount, or the Handy 2 for the longer stroke (its mount is extra).
  • Skip the Handy 2 Standard if your sessions run long. Its battery is about an hour.

Start cheap. The $299 machine isn’t going anywhere.

Cheers, Craig
